One Month, One POD, and a Whole New Garage

When Thuan and Dede reached out, they weren’t just looking for help organizing their garage. They needed a project partner, someone to help keep momentum and stay on track. What they had was a classic "catch-all" garage, a space where everything landed and nothing could be found.
With a one-month deadline and a rented POD, we tackled it one weekend at a time. The process started with a full garage empty-out. Everything came out, and we sorted as we went, keeping only what served a purpose. Donations were boxed up immediately to clear space and avoid the temptation to "keep just in case."
Once the space was cleared, we pressure washed the floors, scrubbed the walls, and gave the whole space a fresh start, literally. The walls got a coat of Kilz and a cheerful yellow paint that made the space feel instantly brighter. Then we rolled on an epoxy floor that totally elevated the garage vibe.
Thuan and Dede invested in some smart storage essentials: a Husky workbench, pegboards with hooks for tools and yard gear, heavy-duty racks for bins, and bike hooks to get wheels off the ground. Everything went into matching labeled bins for a clean, cohesive look.
Now? It’s not just a garage. It’s a workspace, a home gym, and a peaceful, usable part of their home. The Peloton has room to breathe. Tools are right where they belong. And the best part: everything has a place.
This project was a true team effort. We worked side by side the whole way through, making decisions together and keeping the process moving without overwhelm. Thuan and Dede turned their garage from a chaotic stash zone into a beautiful, functional extension of their home, and I was honored to be part of it.
